Honoring Veteran's This November

Free Coffee and Donut, Sponsored By Lansing Area Veterans Coalition

Since we won't be open on Veteran's Day this year, we approached honoring our local Vets in a different way this year. For the remainder of November, we will proudly offer 1 Free 12oz Coffee and Classic Donut to each Veteran or Active Duty Military Member.

This Veteran's Day celebration is sponsored by the Lanisng Area Veteran's Coalition (LAVC). The LAVC (Lansing Area Veterans Coalition) is an organization which provides veterans and their families with important information and connections concerning health, education, veteran's benefits, and community support.

We encourage all Lansing Area Vets to take advantage of this offering. Allow us to honor you with a Coffee and a Donut. We appreciate the service you have offered our Nation. Thank You For Your Service!

We've Been Honored with a Special Award in Mlive.com's "Michigan's Best Doughnut" Contest!

"Most Inclusive" Donut Shop In Michigan

It's been nearly 2 months since Mlive.com announced it's first "Michigan's Best Doughnut" contest since 2014 (before we were even open). We actually used that list as a guide to check out the state's top donut shops to get a better idea of how we were going to get Groovy Donuts started! It's exciting to now be on that list!

To have earned numerous commendations in the 2020 edition of "Michigan's Best Doughnut" is an incredible honor and we couldn't have done it without you, Groovy Friends! Here's how we fared:

Donut of the Week: Brown Sugar Apple Brulee

Our latest Donut of the Week, is a light, fluffy yeast donut filled with cinnamon chopped apples and topped with a crunchy shell of brulee’d brown sugar. A seasonal twist on a classic Creme Brulee!

This tasty treat will be available by Pre-Order Only. For your convenience you can place your order in our Online Store, or by calling or visiting our East Lansing or Williamston locations during business hours (Thurs - Sun 7am - 1pm).

Introducing a Groovy Collaboration with Looking Glass Brewing Co!

If you’re looking for a Far Out twist on our donuts, we’d suggest you visit Looking Glass Brewing Company in Dewitt this week (Thursday 10/29 - Sunday 11/1).

They will be serving up a Brand New, donut-based slider known as Blueberry Baskins: Two Groovy Glazed Blueberry Hand Cut Donuts, sandwiched around chorizo, bacon, red onions, gouda cheese and covered in a maple honey BBQ. Pair it with LGBC’s Screaming For Vengeance. 

This tasty treat was created by Joe Toth, affectionately referred to as “Joe Exotic”, based on his enjoyment of our donuts and inspiration from LBGC Chef Joshua Moyer to explore new ideas. Needless to say, when he reached out to us with the idea, we were very excited to learn more!

We are huge supporters of local business and love any opportunity to work with other local restaurants. The results are always fun and delicious! So, visit LGBC this week to try “Blueberry Baskins” and let us know what you think!
