Making the World More Groovy One Donut at a Time!

Groovy Donuts has supported local food banks, homeless shelters, schools, non-profits, etc by donating:

  • Tens of thousands of donuts

  • Thousands of dollars and

  • Hundreds of hours toward local non-profit organizations, fundraisers and events. 

Organizations supported include: Teacher Appreciation Week, weekly donations to Child and Family Charities, Saturday Morning Breakfast Outreach, Punks with Lunch and many others.

Donation Request Application

Thank you for reaching out to Groovy Donuts to request a donation on behalf of your nonprofit or community organization. As a locally owned and community-minded business, we’re dedicated to spreading good vibes and sweet support where it matters most. After all, our mission is simple: to make the world groovier, one donut at a time.

We receive hundreds donation requests throughout the year, so to help us give each one the attention it deserves, we’ve put together this application process. Please submit your request at least 4 weeks in advance of your event or need date to give us enough time to review, plan, and respond.

While we wish we could say “yes” to everyone, we give priority to events and organizations that align with our values, especially those that focus on:

  • Food insecurity and community nourishment

  • Youth development and education

  • Health and wellness

  • Community events promoting the Greater Lansing Area

  • Natural Resource Sustainability

Donation Request Guidelines and Eligibility

Due to the number of donation requests we receive, all requests must meet the following criteria:

  • Only requests submitted using our official Donation Request Form will be considered.  Requests made by email, phone, drop-ins or social media will not be reviewed.

  • All updates will be provided via email.  To keep the groovy vibes flowing in our shops, we kindly ask that you do not call our stores for status updates.

  • Priority is given to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations (a valid tax ID is required), as well as organizations that best align with our core values.

  • The event must take place in a community where Groovy Donuts does business.

  • All donations will be provided in the form of Groovy Donuts–produced in-kind or discounted product, or A check made payable directly to the verified organization or event (NOT individuals).


We are unable to support requests from:

  • Organizations or events outside of our communities

  • Adult sports leagues or tournaments

  • Individual (direct sponsorships or fundraisers)

  • Organizations that restrict services based on faith or political affiliation

  • Political groups or candidates

  • School yearbooks, sports programs, or advertising sales

Groovy Donuts reserves the right to respectfully decline any application that does not align with our mission: to make the world groovier, one donut at a time.

To keep things running smoothly (and avoid donut-induced distractions), we kindly ask that you don’t call our shops for status updates. We promise—we're on it and will be in touch as soon as we can!
